A 501(c)(3) non-profit on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi
Protecting the reefs, sea turtles and wild shores of Hawaiʻi — volunteer-run since 2011, powered entirely by people like you.
Sea turtles, monk seals and native species — protected, rescued and given room to thrive.
Shoreline clean-ups and reef care on the Big Island's most fragile coasts.
Healthy watersheds above mean healthy reefs below — we restore both.
No salaries, no offices. Every dollar goes to conservation in Hawaiʻi.
The Global Ecology Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Ocean View on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi. We work to protect the living ocean — the coral reefs, sea turtles, monk seals and humpback whales that make these islands extraordinary — and the native forests and watersheds that keep our shorelines healthy.
Our work is hands-on and local: shoreline and reef clean-ups, habitat restoration, community education, and support for rescued and endangered animals across the Big Island.
